Located on an area of 8 000 sqm, Doverie Medical Complex includes Doverie Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment and Doverie Medical Center. The close functional integration between the two units guarantees the comprehensive medical care for the patients.

 



Doverie Hospital

Doverie Hospital is a new private hospital in Sofia equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology that allows accurate disease diagnosis and effective treatment. The hospital has 4 operating theaters and a 6-bed intensive care unit. Doverie hospital has strong expertise in minimally-invasive surgery, which leads to faster patient recovery, shorter hospital stays, and better esthetic and post-operative results. In the complex there is also a multidisciplinary outpatient activity with general practitioners, dentists, ophthalmologists, dermatologists, rheumatologists, gynecologists, pediatricians, etc. The hospital has a central pharmacy, a laboratory (hematology, clinical chemistry and microbiology), a pathology department and a state-of the art imaging department. Finally, there is a physical therapy department and a SPA center. Doverie Medical Center also offers individual prevention programs depending on the age, gender, hereditary characteristics, specific risk factors, and individual preferences of each person. The hospital has a most modern lithotripter and sees 80% of Bulgarian patients needing this intervention. An Ethics Committee is attached to the hospital.

Around 10,000 patients are hospitalized at Doverie per year and there are about 10 times more patient visits in the outpatient sector.

All departments and diagnostic sectors are connected in a local computer network. The medical information system provides an opportunity to keep a database of all patients and all activities that have been carried out. This considerably reduces the time necessary for administrative work, allowing more time for direct care for patients.
