ECRIN Network Committee, Budapest, Hungary
Jean-Pierre Tassignon, Chairman of the EFGCP and President of Crossover CRI AG, will attend the Network Committee meeting of ECRIN in Budapest, Hungary. Link
A Workshop on Clinical Research in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia
was held in Bishkek, sponsored by the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, the EFGCP in Brussels and the United Nations office in Byshkek. Jean-Pierre Tassignon was invited by the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan to lecture before the medical establishment of central hospitals in Bishkek about the organization of clinical research in Europe. Dr Tassignon, who represented the EFGCP, lectured on the clinical research infrastructure in the EU, emphasizing that three decades of developing standards, laws and regulations, institutions, education and training and the financing of clinical trials have turned the EU into one of the prime drug development regions of the world immediately after the USA. On the 2nd day, he facilitated a workshop on whether Clinical Research Units would have merit at central hospitals in Kyrgyzstan, and another workshop on the establishment of a Central Asian Forum for GCP on the model of the EFGCP.
ECRIN Network Committee and International Clinical Trials Day, Brussels, Belgium. Jean-Pierre Tassignon, Chairman of the EFGCP and President of Crossover CRI AG, will attend the Network Committee meeting of ECRIN at the Résidence Palace in Brussels, including the International Clinical Trials Day on the 20th. The ICTD – which was first celebrated in 2005 – will be marked throughout Europe with events and communications about the fundamental requirement for more and better clinical research relevant to the needs of patients.
